Automobile Legal Association
1927 ALA Automobile Green Book Golf Club Tourists Guide New England & Canada
Travel, Americana, Reference & Catalogues, Non-Fiction, Automotive, and Sports
Scarborough Motor Guide Company, 1927. Flexibound leather hardcover of A.L.A. Automobile Green Book Road Reference and Tourists' Guide: Vol. One: New England States, Canada and Trunk Lines West and South; Golf Club Guide by Automobile Legal Association.
Includes a large fold-out map inside the back cover.
The Green Book series volume numbers indicated a geographic region covered by the guide, not an installment. In this context, Volume One covered New England and Maritime Canadian provinces.
By the late 1920s, motor tourism was becoming a leisure activity for the wealthy. Since Volume One covered the affluent resort areas of New England, the A.L.A. integrated detailed directions and descriptions for golf courses directly into its road guide.
Very Good. Nice book with light shelf wear.
