The New York Mineralogical Club, 1931. Signed cloth bound hardcover with a pull-out map and black and white plates of The Minerals of New York City and Its Environs by James Manchester.

The author has signed and dedicated the front free end paper to George H. Trumpler, a former president of the Kings County Grand Jurors Association who had crusaded for the replacement of the Brooklyn City Prison. Trumpler did not succeed in his cause by the time of his death on Nov. 15, 1950 primarily due to cost increases after World War II.

The second half of this book contains a large section of black and white plates of mineral specimens and historical photos from some of the N.Y. Mineralogical Society trips. There is also a wonderful fold-out map.

Good condition. Covers worn with corner and edge wear. Solid book with shelf wear.
