"Born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England, in 1915, James Cramer served in the city's police force from 1933 to the outbreak of World War II, when he volunteered for the regular Army. He served in the Grenadier Guards, the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, and with a glider-borne infantry battalion of the 6th Airborne Division. With the 1st Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles he took part in the D-Day and Rhine-crossing glider operations."
Very Good. Faint 3-inch long liquid stain to the back cover top edge near the spine that does not affect the book interior. Slight ink transfer to the back of the dust jacket that does not show through. Sturdy binding, nice dust jacket and crisp, clean interior pages. A nice book with a slight flaw.
