This book includes several family items including a program from Mr. Thornburg's 1969 memorial service, and a handkerchief presumably made by the author's renowned thread company.

Mr. Thornburg was a Secretary and a Director of the Groves Thread Company. He was very active in church work travelling extensively to speak on his convictions as a leading Baptist layman. Mr. Thornburg was President of the North Carolina State Training Union and Vice President of the North Carolina Baptist Brotherhood.

Good condition. Solid copy with crisp pages & some shelf wear. Dust jacket is complete with edge wear. Soiling to the page block edges. Spotting to the frontispiece and title page, and occasional spotting to interior pages. Browned area to the table of contents from the inserted newspaper clipping.
