Fiction, Adventure, Children, Young Adult, and Classics
A. L. Burt Company Publishers, 1901. Antiquarian ex-library cloth bound hardcover of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll.
Note that there is no printing date to this edition. This particular edition with 8 color plates by J. Watson Davis is documented as being published by A.L. Burt in 1901. Another edition with just 4 plates was published in 1905.
Illustrated with 8 color plates by J. Watson Davis and 93 black and white on page illustrations by John Tenniel.
POOR condition. Ex-library markings. Front interior hinge is worn and stretched, exposing binding, but is still connected. Large liquid stain to the first 100 pages with some waviness to the paper. Smaller stains to the edges of the rest of the pages. Color plates are verified and look good. Rare version of Alice with lots of flaws, acceptable as a reading copy.
