This catalogue derives from the exhibition Instruments of Change: New Hampshire Hand Tools and Their Makers, 1800-1900 held at the New Hampshire Historical Society between December 20, 1984, and May 30, 1985.

This book comes from the collection of Edward Lebetkin, my father, and the proprietor of the antique tool store above Roy Underhill's Woodwright’s School in downtown Pittsboro, NC, which recently closed after a 14 year run.
